It is not uncommon for minor issues to arise during a job, but if your contractor suddenly informs you that there will be a major increase in cost beyond the original agreement, you must get a second opinion. Just because you have a contract with one contractor doesn’t mean you cannot protect yourself by having another set of eyes take a look, and it could save you big bucks if the original contractor is practicing some shady business tactics.
